Story
How we got involved
It started with a chronic pain. A small supermarket and food distributor suffered repeated temperature excursions. After many claims, their insurer excluded temperature loss until monitoring was in place.
Why we committed
We spoke with at least ten businesses that handle perishables. Every one had suffered temperature excursions. It is a common pain across the industry, and it seems unavoidable. Across many verticals, that makes an attractive market, worth a long game.
What led to our plan
We relaunched Infortek as a startup, with a new approach and a new business model. We evolved from technology product developer and marketer into a platform that combines hardware and software. That is our edge: we know every step of the supply chain, from making a product to getting it to market.
The road ahead
IceCube is the first building block toward the platform we plan. A global community, built with partners, with new verticals to follow.
